Separators and Molds for Epoxy Casting
For casting of epoxy resin,you can use already made polypropylene molds or make a mold from other materials using separators – polypropylene tape or a wax-based or siloxane-based chemical separator. Polypropylene molds do not need any separator, as polypropylene is one of the materials to which epoxy does not adhere. Chemical separators are applied to the mold surface from different materials (wood, laminate, glass, metal, stainless steel, etc.). Separator forms a continuous layer ensuring proper removal of hardened cast.
