Rubio Monocoat Hybrid Wood Protector is an oil-based single-layer coating for the protection and staining of wood in the exterior for wooden facades, terraces, pergolas, fences, garden furniture and other products which will be protected against weather. Easy application and maintenance and quick drying. Does not form a film and does not peel off. Also suitable for indoor use.

Features:

• Liquid with density  0.95-1.3 kg/dm3,
• Made on the basis of RMC technology with the use of UV stabilizers, suitable for most woods,
• Does not contain water or solvents,
• Available in 12 modern wood shades,
• Maintenance is carried out with the same product without the need for sanding,
• Very low consumption
  • For wood in the exterior: 1 l = approx. 30 m2, 100 ml approx. 3-5 m2
  • For wood in the interior: 1 l = approx. 50 m2,  100 ml approx. 5 m2

Instructions for use – EXTERIOR:

1. For renovations, remove all previous coatings and clean the wood with RMC Exterior Wood Cleaner.
2. Mix the oil well.
3. Once the surface is dry, apply a coat of RMC Hybrid Wood Protector Oil with a good quality flat brush.
4. Let the oil react for approx. 10 min. and brush the surface with the same brush once more, this time without oil.
5. After about 5 minutes, wipe off all excess oil with a rag.
6. Let dry for 24 hours. The oil will dry-through for another 7 days.

Tips and tricks:

• Use only RMC products for surface preparation.
• The product must not be diluted with anything under any circumstances.
• Mix the oil well, for large areas where more packages will be consumed, we recommend mixing the oil from individual packages together.
• Never perform coating at direct sunlight and at temperatures below 10 °C. Work only in dry weather.
• Do not cover the surface or place heavy objects on it until the oil is dried-through.
• If horizontal surfaces become wet within 24-36 hours after applying the oil, wipe them dry as soon as possible.
  
  

Instructions for use – INTERIOR:

1. Sand the surface of the wood with an abrasive of the required grain size and vacuum with a vacuum cleaner. Clean the remaining dust with RMC Cleaner.
2. Add the RMC Accelerator – component B at 10 % by volume to the oil and mix carefully.
3. Once the cleaned surface is dry, apply a small amount of oil with a cloth or brush.
4. Allow a few minutes to react.
5. Thoroughly wipe the surface with a rag – the surface must be dry to the touch!
6. Let dry for 24 hours. The oil will dry-through for another 7 days.
