Round mold for repeated production of epoxy castings in combination with wood and other materials. Perfectly demoldable, easy to disassemble and fold back. Suitable for clocks, side tables, etc.

Material: laminate + ABS

Sizes:

• Circle diameter 30 cm (base square 400 x 400 mm)
• Circle diameter 40 cm (base square 500 x 500 mm)
• Circle diameter 50 cm (base square 600 x 600 mm)

Preparation procedure for epoxy coating:

• The laminate underlay needs to be separated (either stick polypropylene tape or a chemical separator).
• Cover the inside of the ABS edge with polypropylene tape.
• Press the silicone sealant into the milled circular groove in the laminate underlay. Give enough material to fill the groove and prevent epoxy from flowing into it.
• Don't forget to cover the joined edges of the ABS edges with tape.
• Press the ABS edge covered with tape into the sealant in the groove and then smooth the silicone sealant from inside and outside of the mold.
• Allow to cure according to the instructions of the silicone used (usually 1 day).
• Insert the potted objects into the mold (if necessary, weigh them down or ensure that they do not float, if necessary).
• Cover with well homogenized resin.

Demolding procedure:

• After curing, cut the silicone on the outside of the ABS edge (up to that edge) with a knife and, if necessary, remove this silicone.
• Cut the tape on the joined sides of the ABS edge.
• Lightly tap the ABS edge from the inside (trying to get air between the ABS edge and the casting).
• Forcefully, but carefully, pull the ABS edge out of the groove.
• By tapping over a block of wood, tap the side of the casting with a hammer until it separates from the laminate backing.

The package contains 1 piece of laminate base square with a milled circle of the given diameter + 1 piece of ABS edge with corresponding length.
